Vote Of Thanks
A gratitude note from the Kuda team, updates on our new cards and more news.

It goes without saying that last weekend’s successful upgrade to Nerve is our biggest win yet.
You helped make this happen by being supportive as we took one big step to give all of us much better service.
Thank you for being patient throughout the necessary11-hour app downtime, for understanding why we had to deactivate existing cards and for agreeing to wait for your Kuda Naira MasterCard.
Running a bank can be pretty tasking but you make it worthwhile for us in more ways than one and we love you for that.
Now, what’s next?
“Where’s My Card?”
If you’re eligible for a Kuda Naira MasterCard (check here), we’ve either already reached out to you and requested one on your behalf or you’ll be able to request one yourself latest next week.
We planned to allow new card requests on the app this Wednesday but the app update for that was delayed. We’re sorry about this.
We’ve sent the update to Google Play and the App Store, and you’ll be able to download it as soon as it’s available — latest next week.
If we’ve delivered your Kuda Naira MasterCard, you’ll be able to get your card PIN on the app as soon as the update is available.
Gentle Reminders
You’ll need to have a minimum account balance of 1,000 naira to request a Kuda Naira MasterCard.
You won’t be charged for the card, but we need to know that we’re sending free cards only to people who are interested in using their Kuda account enough to put some money in it.
One more thing, you won’t be able to use the card on foreign websites… yet but we’re already working on making it possible. It’ll be worth the wait.
The Time Before Nerve
We’ve spent the greater part of the past few days reversing failed transactions from the week before the Nerve upgrade. These include (cardless) withdrawals, transfers, airtime purchases and bills.
If you have a pending reversal, be sure that we’ll sort it out for you. It’s not in the past till we’ve fixed it.
Safety Protocols
Just a couple of things to remember:
1. At the moment, we’re not giving out POS terminals to would-be agents.
Never give your money to any person or group of people claiming to be Kuda and offering POS terminals. We don’t know them.
2. We will never ask you to pay to get a loan. This doesn’t add up on any planet.
Any personal loan we offer will be available strictly on our mobile and web apps, and we’ll always let you know how to get it.
Stay safe. 💜
